"Yes
it was sad saying goodbye
I don't usually write thank
you letters after paid for holidays but you both had the ability,
and it must be a natural talent as well as something you work
at, to make your guests feel utterly at home. Like spending
a holiday with close friends
."
These
safaris are for small groups and are geared to be fun. They
are for people who enjoy the sheer pleasure of ambling through
the most beautiful quiet landscapes.

For people who enjoy the subtle balance of French cuisine with
French wine. For people to forget the fast and furious world
of modern times and to relax in the rustic beauty of the Quercy.
Everything is laid on for them not to have a single worry once
they are here. Nothing to fuss about. Nothing to pay for. They
just follow the flow.

With
fourteen years' experience we feel we have the balance right.
Champagne hidden and chilled in the fresh water of ancient wells
and consumed with warm freshly baked 'pains lardons' to the
song of nightingales at eleven o'clock in the morning.

Truffle
delicacies balanced with the dark black wine of Cahors. Picnics
of bucolic beauty where sleep can be such a gentle thing on
rugs and cushions spread out in pastoral shades; or else at
table in the exclusiveness of private châteaux.

Pack
animals to relieve the stress of carrying bags and help maintain
a certain lightness whilst walking. And the same pack animals
to carry chilled water, Diana's home-made biscuits and chilled
Pineau to help wash it all down and summon up the blood.
